Hope Byers
Vice President of Visitor Engagement
Hope oversees visitor services, exhibits, programming, and education aspects of Susquehanna National Heritage Area’s sites. Hope holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Millersville University and a Master’s degree in American History from James Madison University. She has worked and volunteered throughout our heritage area at museums and in the tourism industry including National Watch and Clock Museum and York County Heritage Trust. She is excited to bring the history of the Susquehanna River and Columbia to life for our visitors.
A native of Columbia area, Hope enjoys hiking and exploring new restaurants, trails, and museums. In her free time, you’ll find her at her family’s cabin in Pine Grove Furnace State Park exploring Michaux forest and relaxing on the beach at Fuller Lake.
